1Who We Are
This website is run by Matt Parro, magician. Matt is responsible for any personal information you share through this website, by email, by phone or by message. You can contact him about your information at magic@mattparro.com or on +44 (0) 7731 845432.
2What Matt Collects
When you send an enquiry or book: your name, email address, phone number and the details of your event, such as the date, venue and number of guests, plus anything else you choose to include in your message.
When you leave feedback: your name, your comments and where your event took place.
When you visit the website: general information about how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors are in the world. This comes from cookies (see below) and does not tell Matt who you are.
3How Your Information Is Used
To reply to your enquiry, check availability and send you information you have asked for.
To arrange and confirm your booking, send invoices and keep the records needed for accounts and tax.
To publish reviews and feedback on this website. Reviews are shown with the reviewer’s name, the type of event and the venue or town.
To send occasional news and offers by email to past clients and people who have enquired. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
Matt will never sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
4Who It Is Shared With
Your information is only shared where it is needed to look after your booking: for example, with the company that hosts this website and Matt’s email provider, or with a replacement magician if Matt is ever unable to perform at your event. It is never shared with anyone for their own marketing.
5How Long It Is Kept
Matt keeps your details so he can help if you get in touch or book again, answer questions about past events and keep the records needed for accounts and tax, which the law requires for at least six years.
You can ask for your details to be deleted at any time, apart from anything the law requires Matt to keep.
6Cookies
This website uses a small number of cookies to make it work properly and, through Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use it so it can be improved. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the website will still work.
7Keeping It Safe
Your information is stored securely on password-protected devices and services, and only Matt has access to it.
8Your Rights
You can ask Matt for a copy of the information he holds about you, ask him to correct it, or ask him to delete it, at any time. Just email magic@mattparro.com.
If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
